Grief & Loss Counseling · Ventura, CA
Grief is love with nowhere to go.
Grief is one of the most profound human experiences. Whether you've lost a person, a relationship, a role, an identity, or a vision of your future, grief is the natural response, and it deserves to be honored on its own terms.
In our culture, grief is often rushed, minimized, or pathologized. People are told to "move on" before they're ready, or to stay strong when what they really need is space to fall apart. I offer that space, without a timeline, without judgment.
I work with grief as a nonlinear, deeply personal process. We won't try to "fix" your grief or move you through prescribed stages. Instead, we'll create a container for your experience and explore what it means to carry loss while still finding your way forward.
Types of grief I work with:
- Death of a loved one
- Divorce & relationship loss
- Perinatal & pregnancy loss
- Ambiguous & disenfranchised grief
- Loss of identity or role
- Major life transitions
